“Tree of Red” is a painting that I was inspired to create after looking out the window to the backyard and seeing all the fall leaves laying on the ground. The tree is very massive and dominant in the painting and the girl sitting at the bottom of the tree on the ground, has her face in her hands and she is crying. Sometimes life seems so overwhelming and to large to handle, but we can face any adversity if we only try. The girl leans against the tree for support and comfort, as she finds this in nature. The painting is somewhat chaotic to represent the chaos that we all feel at some point in our lives, but the tree stands strong and is able to withstand even the strongest of storms.
