MISSION STATEMENT
At Triggered 22, our mission is to raise awareness of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), break the stigma surrounding mental health, and provide hope, education and support to veterans, active-duty military, first responders and anyone affected by trauma. We believe asking for help is a sign of strength. Through advocacy, education and community we encourage open conversations, connect people with resources and ensure that no one has to fight their invisible battles alone.

THERAPY THROUGH ART.
When I began going to my mental health doctor, she encouraged me to keep a journal to track my emotions, thoughts, and nightmares that I was having. I did that for some time but quickly discovered that I could better capture my emotions on a canvas.
I began painting, and it has been very therapeutic for me. Once I can get my emotions on my canvas, for a time, they are no longer a burden in my head or a heaviness in my soul. I encourage others to use their talent or positive outlet to cope with whatever you are dealing with in your life.
