“Release Into Nature” is a painting that was inspired by my mental health doctor during one of my many visits, she asked me if I ever painted anything “happy?” Well, the answer was no, I find it hard to feel happiness some days, as I feel there is a gaping hole inside of me filled with emptiness and sadness. She asked me what makes you feel happy, and I told her being in nature, so that day I went home, found some sticks and moss, and painted a colorful nature filled painting. The opening of the head represents releasing the “sadness” and the sticks and moss bring in the nature aspect. The birds flying out are the sadness and once released find their own freedom,
